20 Jewish Cooperative Bank Leaders Imprisoned by Soviet

All of the 20 Jews among the 32 arrested leaders of the cooperative industrial credit bank Selb-stetigkeit, have been found guilty and sentenced to prison. Most of the accused received sentences at hard labor varying from nine months to two years, while others were sentenced to from 18 months to five years.

They were charged with negligence, bad management, ignoring the policy of the Soviet cooperatives in supporting the wealthy artisans and not granting credits to the poor artisans, and with giving bribes.
