$2,500 Sent Abroad for Lithuanian Relief

The sum of $2,500 marking the first contributions to the fund of $50,000 which the Lithuanian Federation is scheduled to send for the relief of the Jews in Lithuanian was desparcired to Kovno yesterday.

The money was addressed to a committee consisting of Dr. Rubinsoim S. Rubinstein and the Director of the Central Bank of Kovno. The money will be applied for the immediate relief of the Jews in a number of towns in Lithuanian.

Twenty-five thousand Jews in the country are in dire want. A telegram asking for immediate contributions to the Fund was sent to thirty leading Lithuanian Jews by the Treasurer of the Fund. L. Rokeach Contributions to the fund are being received by L. Rokeach 345 Hewes Street Brooklyn.
