Three Polish Jewish leaders, Dr. Arjeh Tartakower, Dr. Jakob Apenszlak and Dr. Leib Wulman, who have been detained at Ellis Island since their arrival from Paris last Sunday, have been granted six-month visitors’ visas to enter the United States, the Immigration Bureau announced today.

Their applications for admission were approved by an immigration board of review after immigration officials at Ellis Island had decided to exclude them on the grounds that they were traveling on Polish passports which would not enable them to return to their country of origin.
