Two Americans, Felix M. Warburg and Rabbi Stephen S. Wise of New York, are included in the committee of eight Zionists and non-Zionists which will direct the Anglo-American effort to expatriate 100,000 German Jews.
Four of the committee will be Zionists and four non-Zionists, it was disclosed by Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, prior to his departure for London. Sir Herbert Samuel, first High Commissioner for Palestine, will be chairman. Other members of the committee will include Simon Marks, vice-president of the English Zionist Federation, Lord Bearsted, head of the Shell Oil interests, and Sir Osmond D’Avigdor Goldsmid.
