A cargo valued at $500,000 and comprising 1,000 tons of assorted canned goods, flour and sugar was loaded here today aboard an Israel-bound vessel under the auspices of the Philadelphia Zionist Organization.
In addition to the foodstuffs, a $50,000 concrete mixer and 200 tons of industrial and farm equipment were also included in the cargo, which was assembled as part of the current “Food for Israel” campaign being conducted by the Zionist Organization of America.
