More than 245, 000, 000 francs, approximately $500, 000, was collected in the United Campaign for Israel during 1959, Raymon Wallier, president of the Keren Hayesod, announced today at the organization’s annual meeting.

The total, an increase of about 20 percent over 1958, was seen as auguring well for the 1960 campaign. Walter Eytan, Israel’s Ambassador to France, stressed Israel’s need for funds not only for the integration of new arrivals but also to complete the integration of thousands of Jews who have arrived in earlier years.
