A goal of $5,000,000 has been set for the Chanukah Festival for Israel which will bring to a climax the Israel Bond drive in the New York area in 1958, it was announced today by Lia Guildent general chairman of the Greater New York Committee for State of Israel Bonds. The Chanukah Festival will be held on Monday evening, December 8 at Madison Square Garden.
Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, Herbert H. Lehman, Governor Averell Harriman, Senator-elect Kenneth B. Keating, Senator Jacob K. Javits and Mayor Robert F. Wagner will serve as honorary chairmen of the Festival.
