Louis Pincus, chairman of the Jewish Agency Executive, said that 56,000 immigrants will have come to Israel by the end of 1972 compared to 42,000 last year. He said that more than 30,000 of the newcomers are from the Soviet Union. But immigration from the Western countries has decreased. Only 5800 new olim came from North America this year compared to 8200 last year, Pincus told a meeting of the Executive.
