Jewish relief organizations today received a cabled appeal from Beirut to rescue 658 Czech refugees, including 200 women and 50 children, who have been re-embarked on a freighter and shipped to sea without adequate supplies of food and water. The refugees had been quarantined in Beirut until their vessel, on which they had spent three months in a vain search for a land that would receive them, was fumigated after being swept by an epidemic while at sea.
