More than 80 Israeli firms are represented in the Israel exhibit at the Izmir International Fair, some of them offering products never before offered on the Turkish market by Israeli firms. The Israeli pavilion this year is three times as large as it was at last year’s trade fair.
Turkish President Djelal Bayar visited the Israeli pavilion on opening day at the fair and expressed deep interest in the industrial development of Israel. A number of high Turkish officials, including Minister of Trade Fethi Chelikbash, have expressed admiration for the rapid progress of Israeli industry as mirrored in the fair exhibits.
