A bill approved by a Ukrainian parliamentary committee would grant pension benefits to Ukrainian immigrants to Israel.
The bill, proposed by Jewish lawmaker Aleksandr Feldman, also would grant pension benefits to Jewish citizens of Israel born or living in Ukraine.
Ukrainians living in Israel would be entitled to their state pensions accumulated prior to their arrival in the Jewish state.
The Ukrainian Jewish Committee voiced its support for Feldman’s bill.
