A bill restricting Palestinian officials’ travel privileges was introduced in the House of Representatives. The Arafat Accountability Act, sponsored by Reps. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Bob Menendez (D-N.Y.), also calls for additional sanctions against Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat and other officials, including seizing their U.S. assets and downgrading the PLO Washington office.
