A Brazilian diplomat who saved 800 people during World War II, some of them Jews, will be named a “Righteous Gentile.” The Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum in Jerusalem announced that Brazilian diplomat Luiz Martins de Souza Dantas, who was in charge of the Brazilian diplomatic mission in France during World War II, will be honored.
