A Canadian teachers union criticized B’nai Brith Canada for attempting to spark public protest over a series of anti-Israel resolutions by the union. The resolutions, which were to be debated Thursday, urge support for a campaign of “boycott, divestment and sanctions” against Israel, and would lobby the Canadian government to support Hamas and resume aid to the Palestinian Authority even though Canada classifies Hamas as a terrorist group. B’nai Brith sent out a community action alert.
