A concentration camp official, Dr. Joachim Hofmann, was given a thirteen-year sentence for maltreating Lieutenant Colonel Weiss, a prisoner at his camp, it was revealed yesterday.

The sentence was imposed by a court which held a secret trial at Stettin after information sent privately by Lieut. Col. Weiss to Field Marshal Mackensen, a personal friend, resulted in a trial order by Premier Hermann Goering.

Testimony at the trial brought out the fact that a Jewish merchant of Schragenheim was among those mistreated by Hofmann. Weiss is not Jewish.
