A conference for Jewish journalists in the former Soviet Union opened in Moscow. “The time is ripe to invest in Jewish journalism in the former Soviet Union,” which is an important tool of developing the local Jewish community, said Jerry Hochbaum, the head of the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture, which is sponsoring the event.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
