A controversial proposal to post Egyptian soldiers on Israel’s southern border likely will be brought to the Knesset. Under the proposal, some 750 Egyptian soldiers would patrol the border after Israel quits the Gaza Strip next month, to help prevent weapons being smuggled from the Sinai to Palestinian terrorists.
