The political organization “Americans for Democratic Action” today announced adoption of a foreign policy resolution urging a clear U.S. policy for action against any threat to the “territorial integrity of Israel.”

The ADA resolution urged U.S. action to preserve the sovereignty of Lebanon from the United Arab Republic menace. The resolution suggested that actions by the U.S. “should be of an interim character, designed to assist Lebanon in the exercise of its right of self-defense until the United Nations can take effective measures to deal with this problem.”
