A Florida man accused of helping to murder thousands of Jews in World War II has returned to Lithuania. Vyatautas Gecas, 81, was brought up on deportation charges last December by the U.S. Justice Department’s Office of Special Investigations and admitted that he served in the Second Lithuanian Schutzmannschaft Battalion that killed thousands of Jews and others in mass shootings in both Lithuania and Belarus during the war.
