A former agent for Israel’s Shin Bet domestic security service went on trial for allegedly failing to prevent the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Avishai Raviv, code-named “Champagne” by the Shin Bet, pleaded not guilty on Sunday to the charges.
