A former captain in the police of Darmstadt, Hans Heinemann, has been sentenced by a court in Kaiserslautern to three years imprisonment for complicity in the murder of Jews in Russia. The court found that Heinemann participated in 1941 in an execution of some 100 Jewish men, women and children near the town of Kiev
