A gas bomb that crashed through a synagogue window in Marseille, France, on Sunday did not cause any injuries. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old Moroccan man was sentenced to 18 months in prison, all but seven of them suspended, for his role in vandalizing a butcher shop in the city of Toulon. The sentence is the first after more than 55 people were arrested in more than 80 incidents in France in the past month, apparently linked to the violence in the Middle East.
