A group that hopes to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem is planning to search through phone books and public records to find descendants of the Jewish priestly caste. A group known as Chai Vekayam said Monday in Jerusalem that the Cohanim, as well as their assistants, the Levi’im, will be necessary to perform certain tasks in case the temple is rebuilt.
