A Jewish student leader is among the 2004 Rhodes Scholars. Elizabeth Kistin, a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was among the 32 winners of the prestigious Oxford scholarship. Kistin, who lives in New Mexico, headed Project Rush Hour at the university’s Hillel, fighting poverty and hunger in the community.
