A kosher Middle Eastern eatery won a contest for the best humus in New York City. Hummus Place, which has two locations in New York City, triumphed in Sunday’s contest. “The first big differentiation between humuses is the chunky kind versus the creamy kind,” said Isaac Zablocki, of the arts and culture department of the JCC of Manhattan, which sponsored the contest as part of its weekend Israel Non-Stop Festival.
