A large group of Soviet Jews arrived early Wednesday morning by way of Vienna. They included families from Odessa, Wilna, Kovno and the Georgian Republic. Gershon Mazin, a writer and journalist who has had seven plays produced in Russia, said a majority of Odessa’s Jews want to go to Israel but fear reprisals from the government.
