A letter from Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) to Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, in which the lawmaker said New York City should have accepted $10 million from him despite his comments blaming the U.S.-Israeli relationship for the Sept. 11 attacks, has sparked outrage from the Jewish community in Atlanta. McKinney said U.S. priorities in the Middle East should be re-examined, and that the donation could be sent to aid blacks in America.
