A lightning bolt striking a high tension line put the Hadera power station out of commission for several hours Monday forcing the Israel Electric Corp. to impose temporary blackouts in various parts of the country. The utility restored full power by evening, but not before the failure of traffic lights caused mammoth traffic jams.
