A long-forgotten Nazi academy, buried under a hill in Berlin, has been discovered. Only a few Nazi enthusiasts knew of the building s existence until the Association of Berlin Underworlds found pertinent documents, the Guardian reported. The association now plans to excavate the site. We know for sure that underneath there is also a massive multistory bunker complex, an association member said. Adolf Hitler reportedly planned to make the building part of the German capital, but construction on the facility was halted just years after Hitler laid the building s first stone. British occupation forces found the building too difficult to demolish and instead poured half of Berlin s rubble on top of the building.
