A memorial service for a Jewish philanthropist who died last month was scheduled to be held in New York on Sunday. Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres and Javier Perez de Cuellar, a former secretary-general of the United Nations, were among the dignitaries scheduled to attend the service for Edmond Safra.
