A newspaper editor in Brattleboro, Vt., is defending her decision to print a letter to the editor that claimed Jews run the town. “Exposing such narrow-minded beliefs to the sunlight of public scrutiny makes people aware of the problem, sparks a dialogue about it and, in the long run, hopefully helps to eradicate it,” Managing Editor Kathryn Casa wrote Tuesday in the Brattleboro Reformer.
