A rare Jewish mystical manuscript from the Zohar that dates from the early 1400s was obtained by the University of Toronto library. The manuscript, which may once have belonged to the 17th-century messianic pretender Shabbatai Tzvi, is the “crowning jewel” in a collection of Hebrew manuscripts and printed books recently obtained by the university.
