James Goldsborough, who had been at the newspaper for 12 years, said his column — which sought to explain Jewish support for the Democratic presidential hopeful despite President Bush’s pro-Israel policies — was spiked because Copley newspapers is taking an increasingly right-wing line. Copley said the column was spiked because it might offend some readers.
