A San Francisco philanthropy gave money to three men involved in rebuilding Polish Jewish life. The first international grants from the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture went to Janusz Makuch, founding director of Krakow’s Jewish Culture Festival; Joachim Russek, founding director of Krakow’s Center for Jewish Culture, and Feliks Tych, director of Warsaw’s Jewish Historical Institute.
