A southern Israeli town wants to open a branch of the Guggenheim Museum. Art curator Katy Bar and Yaacov Shmul, a municipal official from Mitzpe Ramon, met Wednesday with a representative from the ministry in charge of development in the Negev and Galilee to discuss the possibility of the desert town hosting a branch of New York’s modern art museum.
