A top professional serving with an international Holocaust restitution commission reportedly was investigated for misappropriating commission funds for personal use. Neal Sher, former chief of staff in the Washington office of the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims, resigned last summer after he was investigated by the commission for alleged “unauthorized reimbursements of his ICHEIC travel expenses,” according to an internal commission document obtained by the Forward.
