A U.S. law firm donated its legal fees from a settlement of Holocaust-era Swiss banks litigation to Columbia Law School. “We can think of no greater tribute to the memory of the Holocaust victims than to donate our legal fees from this settlement to Columbia Law School,” said Robert Lieff, a founding partner of the firm of Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein. The $1.5 million donated to the school will be used to train human rights lawyers.
