A U.S. rabbi caught in a television sting focused on Internet predators was convicted. A judge on Wednesday found David Kaye guilty of traveling for sex with what he thought was a 13-year-old boy he met on the Internet.

Israel appointed its first female Supreme Court president. Justice Dorit Beinisch formally took over Thursday from President Aharon Barak and will begin her new duties next week. Beinisch, 64, has served in the Supreme Court for more than a decade.
