A vast majority of American opinion elites and Europeans support Israel’s upcoming Gaza withdrawal, according to new polls. A series of polls released Tuesday by The Israel Project show that 89 percent of educated, well-off Americans are in favor of Israel’s upcoming withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank, and 88 percent favor the establishment of a Palestinian state under present conditions.
