A visiting U.S. Jewish leader invited Russia’s top Muslim cleric to visit the United States as an envoy of moderate Islam. Jack Rosen, the chairman of the American Jewish Congress, invited Ravil Gainutdin, the head of the Russian Council of Muftis, at a meeting in Moscow on Thursday, Russian news agencies reported.
