About 1,500 persons attended festivities marking the 35th anniversary of Israel’s Independence at the Expo Theater here Sunday. David Azieli, chairman of the Canadian Zionist Federation’s Eastern Region, saluted the people of Israel and assured them of the unanimous support of the Jewish community of Montreal.
