Abraham Manievich, internationally famous Jewish painter, died here today at his home following a brief illness. He was 60 years old.

Born in Russia, he received his art education in Kiev, and later at the Academy of Art in Munich, Germany. He came to this country in 1922 after serving as professor of art in the Kiev Art Academy from 1918. His works have been acquired by the famous Luxembourg Museum in Paris, by the Imperial Academy of Art in Petrograd, by the Moscow Museum of Art, by the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
