Activists believed to be opposed to Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip blocked entrances to 40 schools in Israel. Pupils in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Bat Yam and Holon arrived for class Tuesday only to find that the front gates of their schools had been chained shut.
