Mrs. Monte London, secretary of the First Auxiliary of the Physician’s and Allied Professions Political League, will be hostess at a tea to be given at her home, 1185 Park Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at two-thirty. The purpose of the tea is to further plans of organization in order to be better prepared to assist organized medicine in its program for improving the economic and professional conditions of physicians, dentists and pharmacists. Mrs. Julies Ferber is chairman of this newly formed organization.

IVRIAH LUNCHEON-BRIDGE

Ivriah, Women’s Division of the Jewish Education Association, will give a luncheon and bridge on Tuesday afternoon at the Villa Venice, 10 East 60th Street, for the benefit of the Scholarship and Kindergarten Funds. This function, one of many to be held in the near future, is being sponsored by Mrs. Louis Levy.

OTHER IVRIAH MEETINGS

Tomorrow evening the West Bronx group of Ivriah will hold its annual membership Get-Together at Burnside Manor, 85 West Burnside Avenue, at eight-thirty o’clock. The guest speaker will be Rabbi Joshua L. Goldberg of the Astoria Center of Israel and he will discuss “The Jewish Child in Russia and Germany Today”. . . . On Wednesday afternoon the Flatbush Division which meets at the Flatbush Club, 1576 Ocean Ave., will hold a bridge at the clubhouse. . . . Mrs. W. J Diamond of Bensonhurst, will be the guest speaker at the East Bronx meeting of Ivriah Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Fromer, 2197 Kruger Avenue.

NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH WOMEN

The National Council of Jewish Women will be represented at the White House Conference to consider needs of unemployed women tomorrow, upon the invitation extended by the Federal Emergency Relief Administrator.

Program arrangements are being completed for the New England Regional Conference of the National Council of Jewish Women to be held in New Bedford on December 5, 6 and 7. A Social Service Institute has been organized as part of the program of the conference. Discussion on the “Child in the Present Crisis”, “Unemployment Relief”, “The Volunteer in Social Service”, “The Big Sister” and “The Big Brother” movements, will take place.

FOR THE DAUGHTERS OF JACOB

A large group of women, active in welfare work are working for the success of the $50 per couple banquet for the Home of the Daughters of Jacob which will be held on Sunday evening, December 10 at the Hotel Astor. Samuel R. Rosoff is the chairman.

Among those aiding in the sale of tickets are Mrs. Peter J. Schweitzer, president of the institution; Mrs. Bessie Bernstein, Mrs. Isaac Kaminsky, Mrs. Samuel Kaufman, Mrs. Harry Fischel, Mrs. Jacob Rose, Mrs. Aaron Chinitz, Mrs. Sarah Avrutine, Mrs. Max Arkin, Mrs. Jacob Goodman, Mrs. Mary Guzick, Mrs. Amelia Schimmel and others.

The home, which provides upkeep and maintenance for 500 old men and women, has an annual budget of $200,000. It is supported solely by membership dues and voluntary contributions. The institution also maintains a hospital.
