Construction work on the Palestine Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair has begun, Dr. Israel Goldstein, chairman of the pavilion’s board of directors, reported last night to the first conference of the pavilion national committee, held at the Hotel Astor. About 50 members of the committee attended the meeting. chief speaker at the conference, which was called to hear reports on progress of the pavilion work here and in Palestine, was Meyer W. Weisgal, director of the exhibit, who returned recently from Palestine.
