An appeal to the tenth general conference of UNESCO for consideration of a five-day week in schools with Jewish pupils in both Western and Eastern Europe, to facilitate Sabbath observance, has been made by the Agudas Israel World Executive, it was disclosed today. The appeal was made in a memorandum submitted by the Agudist delegation to the conference.
