A delegation of Agudath Israel leaders in Israel, headed by Rabbi Itzchok Meyer Lewin, former Israeli Minister of Welfare and executive chairman of the Agudath Israel World Organization, arrived here today from Jerusalem for a speaking tour of major Jewish communities in the United States and Canada.
Rabbi Lewin, who heads the Agudath Israel faction in the Knesset, was accompanied by Knesset member Rabbi Shlomo Lorentz, president of the Agudist Youth Organization of Israel, and Rabbi Menachem Porush, executive director of the Agudath Israel organization of Israel. They were met at the airport by a delegation of rabbis and Jewish laymen, representing Agudath Israel of America.
