The “constant increase” in the importation of nonkosher meat to Israel, apart from being an act of discrimination against the Orthodox Jews, “may gravely endanger the right of shechita in many parts of the world,” H.A. Goodman, political secretary of the Agudas Israel World Organization, charged here today at a meeting of the European executive of the Agudah. He added that the organization feels that representations on this point must be made to the Israel Government.

He also reported that the position of Orthodox Jews in Hungary has not improved and that expulsions continue. R. Springer, another member of the executive, announced that the British Government has given permission for a group of young Jewish Orthodox men to come from Morocco to Britain for study in yeshivoth.
