All Synagogues throughout the nation were called upon today to hold special thanksgiving services this Sunday, in accordance with the proclamation issued yesterday by President Truman. The call was issued in San Francisco by Rabbi Herbert Goldstein, president of the Synagogue Council of America, who is one of the Jewish consultants to the U. S. delegations there.
