85 of the nearly 100 Jewish bakeries which were closed down in Bialystock (reported in yesterday’s J.T.A. Bulletin) in connection with the Government order requiring the introduction of modern machinery into the bakehouses have been reopened following representations made to the District Governor. Only twelve of the Jewish bakehouses are still closed.
